Teacher's Corner - Personal Bio

Mrs. Fennell, nine years old (fourth grade)

I was born in Greenville, South Carolina. My dad was in the Air Force, so I traveled extensively as a child. I had the opportunity to live abroad twice (France and Taiwan).

My husband, Curtis, and I have been married for thirty years. We both graduated from Clemson University. He has a degree in physics, has worked primarily in the defense industry, and is currently the marketing communications manager for a local manufacturing company. Curtis is also a Greenwood native, which brought us back to South Carolina eight years ago from Baltimore, where we previously lived.

We have two children. Our son is twenty-two, a recent college grad in mechanical engineering, and he will begin his graduate education next year in materials science. Our daughter is nineteen, a Governor's School grad, and is currently attending college away from home. She is also an alumnus of Cambridge Academy!

Our family includes two spoiled housecats, Max and Zoe.

A few of my favorite things…
Family time, spring gardening, theology, creative projects, a good mystery, a funny comedy, memories that make me laugh, rainy days, art, all kinds of ethnic foods, peach cobbler, music, picnics, the ocean's edge, my screened porch…
